Brokencyde are the infamous outsiders who turned the internet on its head and helped define an era of unfiltered DIY chaos. Emerging from Albuquerque in the late 2000s, the group fused crunk, screamo, electro-pop, and hip-hop into a sound so confrontational and gleefully messy that it became impossible to ignore. With distorted screams, Auto-Tuned hooks, and maximalist party-rap production, Brokencyde carved out a lane that few would dare enter—one that would eventually be known worldwide as crunkcore.
