For our opening dance, we are delighted to welcome legendary Jamaican foundation artist Dr Alimantado, best known for his iconic album “The Best Dressed Chicken in Town,” performing in Glasgow for the first time in over two decades for this exclusive Scotland-only show.
At the power controls is Messenger Sound System, Scotland's original heavyweight sound in a roots and culture style. Warming up is Glasgow's very own DJ Caroline Murphy Bass Warrior Sound
Located directly opposite Govan Subway Station, the Pearce Institute is easily accessible from most of the city, allowing plenty of time to catch the last subway home. The final train departs Govan at 11:16pm.
Expect a real deal reggae club beneath the beautiful historic roof of the Pearce Institute, featuring Finnieston's finest: Kelvingrove Cafe's world-class hospitality, award-winning cocktails, great scran, and an authentic legacy sound system—a fully immersive experience rooted in Jamaican and Scottish reggae music culture.
