The Glasgow Summer Sessions VIP Garden provides a secluded area away from the main festival arena. You will have access to a covered bar area, a variety of street food offerings, seating, flushing toilet facilities and you will be entertained between main stage sets by the VIP Garden DJs.
Age restrictions for The Cure at Glasgow Summer Sessions taking place in Bellahouston Park, are:
• No persons under 5 permitted.
• Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult 21 and over (1 adult minimum per 4 persons under 16).
• A challenge 25 policy will be in operation at the gates ensuring guardians are 21 and over. Proof of age may be requested. Please bring acceptable photographic ID.
• We encourage you to complete a guardianship form if you are attending with someone aged between 5-16 years old.
• A challenge 25 policy will be in operation at the bars ensuring access is restricted to persons 18 and over. Proof of age may be required. Please bring acceptable photographic ID.

You must bring valid and current ID with you - Valid IDs must be photographic.
We will be accepting the following types of ID for entry into the event:
• Current UK or Overseas Driving License/ Provisional License Photocard
• Current UK or Overseas Current Passport
• Overseas Only Valid National ID card
• UK only 18 + PASS scheme card
• Young Scot Cards
• Ireland Age Card
• Forces ID Card
This is line with the national Challenge 25 policy.

The event arena floor will be uneven and consist of a combination of gravel, grass and limited tarmac pathways and terra-plast trackway. Combined with poor weather conditions this could make some areas of the arena inaccessible. The Accessible Viewing Platform is uncovered so please dress appropriately for the Scottish weather. For the comfort and enjoyment of all Customers using the Accessible Viewing Platform, no smoking/use of e-cigarettes is permitted.

GETTING TO AND FROM BELLAHOUSTON PARK
There are plenty of travel options available to get to and from the Summer Sessions festival site and it’s
strongly advised that you travel by public transport or walk from Glasgow City Centre.

By BUS – There is a Shuttle Service running from Buchanan Street Bus Station to and from the Festival site,
every 10 minutes, with a return journey costing only £5. More information on the shuttle bus is available here.
If you are heading back to Glasgow City Centre on the Shuttle bus, please exit via Gates A or C.
By TRAIN - The closest train station is Dumbreck but please be aware, this will be very busy and the last train
may not allow for you to catch a connecting train from Glasgow Central or Queen Street. More information on
trains is available here.
By CAR – Bellahouston Park is situated in the South side of Glasgow. The only parking is at Albion Car Park,
around a 20 minute walk from the entrance to the festival site which costs £5. Accessible parking is only
available for those who have prearranged with our Accessible Co-ordinator.
By TAXI – The designated taxi pick up and drop off area is located at Hinshelwood Drive, just off Edmiston
Drive/Broomloan Road, close to Ibrox Football Stadium and is a 20 minute walk away from the entrance to the
TICKET AND ENTRY INFORMATION
Please note the age restrictions for the event you are attending:
- The Cure: No persons under 5 permitted.
- Foo Fighters: No persons under 14 permitted
- The 1975: No persons under 5 permitted
Under 16s attending must be accompanied by an adult 21 and over (one adult minimum per four persons
under 16). Please complete a guardianship form here if you’re attending with anyone under 16.
A challenge 25 operation will be in place throughout the event at the bars and on the gates if you are
attending with someone under 16. Please ensure you have acceptable photographic ID listed here.
Photocopies will not be accepted – only original documents.
Bags bigger than A3 size will not be permitted. If you bring a bag, you will be separated into bag search lanes
and may be delayed as a result of longer searches.
If you need to collect a ticket, please visit the Box Office at Gate A.
If you have a General Admission ticket, you can enter via any Gate.
If you have a VIP ticket, please enter via Gate A as this is closest to the VIP area.
For VIP ticket holders, please enter the site via Gate A and go to the VIP Wristband Collection point to collect
your VIP wristband. You will not gain access to the VIP area without this.
If you have selected print at home or mobile tickets, please print your ticket or download it before you come
to the venue.
Those with a multi-day ticket must keep their ticket safe as this will be used on both days and cannot be
replaced if lost or damaged.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Familiarise yourself with the festival site and event map.
- Please follow signs when approaching the park.
- Residential areas and The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice surround Bellahouston
Park. Please be respectful of this when traveling to and from the festival site – use toilets
and bins provided and keep noise to a minimum.
- Alcohol checkpoints will be in operation at the customer entrances to the park to ensure no
alcohol is taken into the park.
- Security and Police will be present plus bag and pat down searches will be taking place on
- Police dogs will be in use - you will be refused entry if found with flares, smoke canisters or
drugs and risk being arrested
- You may find you will be in a large crowd before reaching the main entrances and may then
enter a queue when you arrive.
- Please be patient, expect queues and listen to Stewards for instruction.
- Only bring a bag if essential and do not bring any valuables.
- Summer Sessions is an all standing outdoor event with no seating available.
- Feel free to bring a picnic blanket to sit on the grass but consider the ground condition which
may be wet and muddy.
- Please expect a large crowd of people and expect queues at the bar and food concessions.
- First Aid points are available if you need help. Please don’t delay and speak to a member of
festival staff as soon as possible.
- Water points are available throughout the site. Please remember to stay hydrated and
refuel at the food points available
- Plastic portaloos are available throughout the site. Please check which toilets are free.
- Please note, the VIP area is a secluded area, away from the main arena with separate bars,
food outlets and toilets, with a DJ. It does not have views of the main stage.
- You cannot leave and re-enter the festival site.
At this year’s event, you will see changes in line with our environmental commitments.
All cups, food containers, cutlery, etc. on site will be made of paper, wood, or biodegradable
Please put the correct items in the correct bins throughout the site.
A ‘deposit scheme’ will be in place for all paper cups and when you return your cups to the ‘Cup
Return’ you will get this back. 10 cups/bottles = £1 back!
Feel free to bring an empty bottle no bigger than 500ml with them to refill at our water points
throughout the day.
No glass or metal/hard plastic bottles are allowed onsite.
- Got your ticket? Make sure you keep your ticket safe and dry as this cannot be replaced.
- Dress appropriately – Remember, it’s an outdoor, open air show in Scotland! It has been
raining a lot over the past couple of weeks so please expect wet, muddy ground conditions.
- Keep an eye on the forecast and prepare for a change in the weather as the evening goes
on. Umbrellas are not permitted. A list of prohibited items is available here.
- If you require to bring medication, we ask for customers to bring a prescription of doctors
note with them if it’s not easily recognisable.
- Only bring a bag if it’s necessary – Only bags under A3 size will be permitted.
