Thursday - Great line up of bands for the opening night of the 2024 Festival - starts 5pm

Punk On The Peninsula is a four day festival from 23rd to 25th May, across three venues located in the lovely wee town of Dunoon on the beautiful Cowal Peninsula, featuring around 50 bands. It is fast gaining a reputation for being the friendliest atmosphere around, in what all the bands tell us is the most stunning location for a festival they have ever played in. With the main stage being on the waterfront, people can listen to the bands whilst also watching the yachts and ferries go by as well as the ever growing number of speed boats and people in their canoes and boards pulling up to watch the bands from the water, and getting there for people in Glasgow and the West could not be easier! You can leave Glasgow Central station and be in the main venue in just over one hour as the train terminates at Gourock Pier where the ferries are waiting to take you on the stunning 25 minute trip across the Clyde which drops you under 100 yards from the main stage! You may even glimpse the dolphins which often make an appearance for the ferries. The mains stage is also timed to finish in time for day trippers so they can walk to the ferry in around a minute or so back to the ferry, and be in Glasgow well before midnight! There's also camping for just £5 a night which includes 24 hour security, toilets, showers and a cafe for morning breakfast as we understand times are tough so wanted to do all we could to help. For people with campervans there's a remaining few slots available in the stunning waterfront location along the promenade in Kirn.
