Tuff City Kids are production double Phillip Lauer and Gerd Janson. The former (Phillip) can be labelled a producer, musician and DJ with roots in rap and punk rock and a slew of House releases on Real Soon, Separe Recordings and Punkt Music as well as remixes for labels like Output Recordings, Rekids, Careless, Spectral , Sonar Kollektiv and Tiny Sticks to name just a few. Now flying solo under his surname Lauer his debut album “Phillips” was released in spring 2012 on Running Back. The latter is Gerd Janson, the original Endor blender, touched with the ability to unearth treasured discs that make music lovers’ eyebrows arch and hips dip. Janson has kept it consistently bubblin’ over the years at his Liquid party at Robert Johnson, whilst simultaneously putting out records by Move D, Radio Slave, Tensnake and the like on his own Running Back label
