A welcome return to Edinburgh for Glasgow-based collective Fat Suit! Influence of the modern jazz greats combined with noughties indie guitar riffs, 90s dance sounds, and timeless groove and funk, while their softer side opens up to folk melodies with Celtic roots. Equally at home on a late night festival slot, jazz club, or concert hall. Some recent performance highlights include Love Supreme Jazz Festival, Boomtown, Vsetin Jazz Festival (CZ), Budapest Jazz Club, and Jazzdock (Prague). Hailing from Glasgow, this award-winning collective has become a cornerstone of Scotland’s vibrant music scene, earning accolades such as ‘Best Band’ and ‘Best Album’ at the Scottish Jazz Awards, along with a SAY Award nomination. With their fifth album slated for release in 2025, Fat-Suit are taking a fresh approach. While their previous four albums were recorded live in intense, short sessions, this new record has evolved steadily over the past two years through a studio-based process. It also marks a creative milestone, with more band members contributing to the writing than ever before, resulting in a richer, more expansive take on their signature blend of folk, jazz, rock, and funk.
