Well April was quite the month with some outstanding performances from a diverse set of artists, culminating in a wonderful packed show with China Crisis. May continues the diversity, with two gigs. First up is a night with the Southern Tenant Folk Union at Woodend on the 12th of May at Woodend and the legendary Terry Reid at the Admiral.
The Southern Tenant Folk Union are a wonderful Edinburgh based award winning roots collective, comprising guitar, banjo, bass, fiddle and Cajun drum, all instruments that add up to a joyous sound.

Their music has been praised in the Guardian, Independent, Mojo, Uncut and the Irish Times. They have appeared on the Andrew Marr show, BBC Radio 2 and 4.

The live show is both exciting and engaging and in their hands bluegrass can effortlessly be blended with other genres - folk, roots, Americana to make a potent, timeless sound.

Then on Thursday the 19th of May at the Admiral Bar in Waterloo Street Glasgow we have Terry Reid.
