Join us for an intimate evening with two songwriters from either side of the pond – Samantha Crain and Hamish Hawk.
Samantha Crain is a Choctaw singer, songwriter, poet, producer, and musician from Oklahoma. She is a two-time Native American Grammy Award winner and her spanning discography has been critically acclaimed by media outlets such as Rolling Stone, SPIN, Paste, No Depression, NPR, PRI, The Guardian, NME, Uncut, and others.
Crain has toured extensively other the past 11 years nationally and internationally, presenting rollicking folk-rock shows with a band and intimate folk leaning solo performances. She has toured with The Avett Brothers, Langhorne Slim, First Aid Kit, Neutral Milk Hotel, Murder By Death, The Mountain Goats, Brandi Carlile and many other bands and artists.
Hamish Hawk is an Edinburgh-based songwriter. Performing solo and as frontman of The New Outfit, Hawk offers a strikingly confident live show, shapeshifting from pop songster to lilting crooner; from masterful storyteller to wild-eyed lunatic and back again. Hawk’s full-band debut, From Zero to One was a pop tour-de-force, gleaming with all the grit and grandeur of Scottish life.
