Glasgow Americana brings you an incredible double header with old friends Rachel Baiman & Cahalen Morrison.
They will share the stage swapping songs back and forth, which is sure to be a festival highlight this year.
Raised in Chicago, Rachel Baiman made her way to Nashville at 18 with the dream of being a professional fiddle player and has since released two solo records and an EP, alongside session and side-person work with Kacey Musgraves, Kevin Morby, and Molly Tuttle among many others. As a songwriter, she has garnered a reputation for her specific brand of political and personal lyricism, which Vice’s Noisey described as ‘Flipping off Authority one note at a time”.
Originally hailing from the high desert of Northern New Mexico, Cahalen Morrison has made a name for himself. Over the past decade touring solo, as a duo with Eli West, or with his roadhouse country band Western Centuries, Cahalen has played shows and festivals all over the world and performed on stage with the likes of Tim O’Brien, Kelly Joe Phelps, Hot Rize, Crooked Still and Kris Drever.
Multi-Award winning Americana singer/songwriter Emma Jane burst onto the Glasgow music scene in December 2005, since then Emma Jane’s unique blend of country, soul and blues along with her distinctive vocals she has won awards both locally and nationally for her song-writing talents and incredible voice.
Emma has self released 8 self released titles as well as writing with and performing for others in the industry including Grammy award winning producer Kent wells.
In 2021 Emma Jane was awarded a “Danny” at the Danny Kyle open stage after the release of her album Bars and Ballrooms.
Emma’s most recent album Grow was released in January 2024.
