Dumb Instrument

with Feargus Hetherington

Doors 8.00pm

And so here we go, 2016 and 10 years of SoundsintheSuburbs and another year of eclectic wonderful music!!

First gig for the year will be on Saturday 16th January at Woodend and feature the wonderful Dumb Instrument plus Feargus Hetherington. Feargus is an internationally renowned Violinist who has developed a wide-ranging and varied career as a chamber musician, orchestral musician and leader, soloist and teacher. Feargus will be bringing along some of his hugely talented associates to play a set of rocking Shetland fiddle music meets improv meets Local Hero plus something Jazz and something classical. So Jinkys isn’t that something to behold!!

As for Dumb Instrument, they are hard to sum up, but for a good flavour of their work check out the wonderful Suffering from Scottishness, our alternative National Anthem.

Promises to be a very special gig to kick off the year, so pre Celtic Connections come along and let’s this year’s gigs off to a flyer! Tickets £12 and doors at 8.00pm

Then after that we have Jeff Finlin, Peter Bruntnell and Clive Barnes at Woodend on Thursday the 11th of February. Sample of Jeff here, more info to follow in subsequent posts.

Cheers and let’s keep music live in 2016.
