The Real People or "The Realies" as they are known to their fans, are remembered as one of the first bands to play what would become known around the world as Britpop.
The Real People were also cited by Oasis as being a major influence after they recorded the demo that would get Oasis signed and later received song writing credits. A few years later Liam Gallagher took to Twitter singing the praises of Scouse Britpop originators, where he was joined by Mikey Jonns of This Feeling, The NME and many others in enthusing about the bands perfectly crafted pop songs.
