Louise Rutkowski is a Glasgow-based singer/songwriter, best known for her work with cult collective, This Mortal Coil (4AD ) and as lead vocalist on TMC follow-up project, The Hope Blister.

She has also worked with Scottish film composer, Craig Armstrong, releasing an album in the United States under The Kindness of Strangers in the 90s: “Hope” featured mixes by Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Nellee Hooper (Soul II Soul, Bjork, Madonna).

Her new solo album (funded through direct-to-fan platform PledgeMusic), with co-writer and producer Irvin Duguid, was released on her own label in February 2014 to glowing reviews. Since its release, “Diary of a Lost Girl” has been featured on Radio 2 (Nick Lester) BBC Radio Scotland’s “Culture Studio”.(Janice Forsyth – interview and BBC playlist), Tom Morton, Roddy Hart, Clyde 2 (Billy Sloan live session), Amazing Radio (Jim Gellatly), as well as receiving airplay from many digital radio stations across the UK.
