From the harmonious Heartlands of Scotland and the musical metropolis of Melbourne, Australia, Good Guy Hank bring all of the heartbreak, joy and everything in-between with soulful voices, lightning mandolin & fiddle playing and three part harmonies galore! Influences range from Hank Williams, Lucinda Williams, Bill Monroe to Elbow, Gillian Welsh, Drive by Truckers and many more.
Good Guy Hank are: Dbl Bass & Vocals: Theo Barnard of Scotland’s much lauded hell-raising band of bluegrass desperados Wire & Wool. Fiddle, Mandolin & Vocals: Pepita Emmerichs of Australian indie-pop sensations Oh Pep! Guitar & Vocals: Donny McElligott of Scottish Americana outfit The New Madrids.
The Black Denims have been dubbed ‘Scotland’s newest country supergroup’ by Americana UK. The ensemble is lead by Scottish songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Scott McPherson. The group boasts 8 members, each with diverse musical backgrounds, who look to blend the disciplines of Jazz, Bluegrass and Folk together into their distinctly Scottish sound.
