The Fron (Pronounced Vron in English), as they are affectionately known, is one of the finest male voice choirs in the UK. In April 2017 they entered the biennial Cornwall International Male Choral Festival and won the 40 Voices and Over category. In July 2018 they entered the male voice choir competition at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod and, in a very strong field, they came first.
On the concert stage, this Welsh choir has been referred to as the real deal, with the captivating sound of over 40 unadulterated male voices coming together to make extraordinary music. They have been moving people for the past 72 years with their balance of classical, sacred, and modern music including choral arrangements of pop classics.
They have undertaken UK tours taking in concerts as far afield as Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Cardiff and Ipswich with performances at such prestigious venues as The Bridgewater Hall Manchester, Symphony Hall Birmingham, Royal Concert Hall Glasgow, London Festival Hall, and the Tower of London.
Their ‘Voices of the Valley’ series of CDs have sold over 2 million copies and been awarded numerous gold and platinum disks. They are now sold in over 90 countries, and their tracks appear on over 90 compilation albums worldwide.
On the road, the Fron Male Voice Choir has built a reputation as an unforgettable live choir.
