Subculture w/ Kerri Chandler
Harri & Domenic
SATURDAY 8TH DECEMBER 2012
11.00pm - 4.00am
On Saturday the 8th sees a return to the Sub Club for the legendary Mr. Kerri Chandler. Few artists in the music business reach the level of accomplishment and status that Kerri Chandler has achieved. He is known throughout the universe as one of the original creators of the deep house sound and his "basslines" are now legendary.
Kerri grew up in the New Jersey area during the days of the infamous Zanzibar club with resident DJ Tony Humpries. Kerri's father was a DJ as well, which gave Kerri a rich background in the origins of the New York Underground Sound (known also as "Garage" music). He made his DJ debut at the Rally Record Club in East Orange, New Jersey at the tender age of thirteen.
As a producer never straying from his roots, Kerri has proved he’s remained loyal to the underground movement by producing contemporary classics like Back To The Raw. The future is very bright for a guy who is now signing and releasing productions through his own record label. He is the man of the house and undoubtedly will be responsible for many new classics to come. Its been more than two years since we had Kerri joining us in the basement, and in amongst a hectic touring schedule, this is shaping up to be a truly remarkable encounter with one of dance music’s original players.
