SATURDAY 10TH MARCH 2018
But First; Rhumba 26….
A crowd who came to have the best party of their lives…. a well chosen team of DJs who were asked to play because we knew they would play the best sets ever….
And what did the DJs say….
Dave Seaman: ‘How many club nights around the world can boast that they are still hosting ecstatic, sell out crowds at 26 years young! The word ‘legendary’ is thrown about all too frequently these days, but for me, The Rhumba epitomises the word…. Rhumba Forever!’
Seb Fontaine: ‘My favourite night out this year’.
Tall Paul: ‘There is only one!’.
Darren Emerson : ‘Love You!’.
So, now we are on a roll, and we are very excited to announce the Rhumba ‘s next big night…. A night that pulls together, all the history of our clubbing heritage. For us, this brings together everything that has been special in house music over the last 27 years…. Party People…. Rhumba’s 27th year starts with a bang….
Saturday 10th March is the date. The venue is The Ice Factory, Perth, in Perthshire.
And here's who's joining us:
Andrew Weatherall: Probably the best DJ ever. A Rhumba legend and house pioneer. His pedigree is unchallenged and he is still at the forefront of house music… A True Acid House General.
Denis Sulta: Surely one of the highlights of Carnival 56 last year? Denis brings his spangly box of tricks to the Rhumba dance floor, for the very first time. Denis is on fire at the moment and will likely blow the roof off the club. It is an honour to have him playing at The Rhumba.
Jasper James: Jasper will also be making his Rhumba debut. His Dad, the one and only Harri from Sub Club has been a Rhumba fixture for many years and we are thrilled to welcome Jasper into the Rhumba Family.
Justin Robertson: Rhumba Legend and always the best-dressed person in the club. Justin has been playing at the Rhumba as far back as our beginnings go, is a dapper gent and an all round good lad.
Further bolstering such a solid array of DJ talent, we have support from Kelvin Andrews, Groovement, Finitribe, Tom Simpson and the full roster of Rhumba Regulars.
We will also be taking over That Bar, Perth, in Perthshire for our traditional gathering pre-club. Expect big announcements about this soon.
Do not be slow good people. Rhumba tickets always sell out and this night is another sure-fire sell-out. We cannot stress this enough.
Rhumba Forever and see you in 2018!!!
