Max Graef, Nowicki
FRIDAY 15TH AUGUST 2014
10.30pm - 3.00am
First up for our newly launched night at The Berkeley Suite is a Scottish debut for the young pretender Max Graef. Born and raised in Berlin; He is part of a new generation of producers emerging from the city. Owner of Box Aus Holz records - he has a string of releases on his own label as well as releases on Detroit Swindle's Heist recordings, the well-respected Sleazy Beats, Andy Hart's Melbourne Deepcast and Delusions of Grandeur amongst others. His album "Rivers of the Red Planet" was recently released on Danish label Tartelet to much acclaim. All of this is remarkable considering the man was born in '93. His eclectic ear for a sample and love of tasty drums result in productions that can sit anywhere from house to hip-hop and techno to indefinable hybrids of each. We can't wait to get him into the confines of The Berkeley Suite to showcase his undoubted talent. This is not one to be missed!
Joining him will be Glasgow's own Nowicki. The Sub Rosa resident has been holding his own every Wednesday at the Sub Club; warming up for heroes such as Move D, Medlar, Silicone Soul and Esa to name but a few. He will be laying down the soundtrack with his selections before Big M takes the stage. Our Hot Wax residents will also be setting the tone from the off if you feel like popping down before 12 to make the most of the admission discount.
See you in The Berkeley!
