Walter Giardino's Temple Feat: Ronnie Romero (Rainbow)
THURSDAY 16TH NOVEMBER 2017
Walter Giardino Oficial is one of the best known and most influential hard rock guitarists in South America. But in Europe the cult legend has stayed virtually unknown … until now.
As leader and founder of Argentinean metal giants Rata Blanca Oficial, Giardino’s more than a dozen albums have sold millions worldwide over the past 30 years. But their tours and fan base have stayed focussed nearly 8,000 miles away in South America.
But all that is about to change - with a first-time 17-date autumn tour of Europe starting in November 2017.
Walter Giardino's Temple has been a side project during breaks from Rata Blanca since 1998. In the last 20 years this has led to a series of collaborations with former Deep Purple and Rainbow icons such as Glenn Hughes, Joe Lynn Turner, Doogie White and Graham Bonnet.
This time, joining Giardino on vocals is Lords Of Black singer Ronnie Romero Official Site – currently the voice of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow. Romero was invited when Blackmore revived his Deep Purple and Rainbow catalogue in Germany last year after 20 years of playing the rock Renaissance music of Blackmore’s Night.
Ronnie will perform many of those Rainbow and Deep Purple classics on this unique tour alongside Giardino's own most popular songs.
It is now Europe’s turn to discover the secret that South America has been keeping to itself for far too long.
