Breabach are powered by double bagpipes, flute, fiddle, double bass, guitar and step-dance. Their musicianship and adaptability is shown in their thoughtful arrangements and their repertoire effortlessly fuses the traditional and contemporary showing their commitment and passion for their musical heritage. Recent line-up changes have given the band a new edge and in 2012 Breabach won the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards Folk Band of the Year award. Breabach are Calum MacCrimmon (pipes, whistles and vocals), Ewan Robertson (vocals and guitar) James Lindsay (double bass), Megan Henderson (fiddle, vocals and step-dance) and James Duncan Mackenzie (pipes and flute).
