The Boxing Scotland Championships will see boxers coming together from over 100 affiliated clubs across Scotland in their quest to secure their own place in history at the world-class Emirates Arena.

The Finals - the biggest boxing championships of their kind ever to hit Scotland, not to mention the UK - will be taking place at the cutting edge east end venue on Friday March 28, with a capacity crowd of over 5,000 expected.

A total of 26 boxers will not only be battling for supremacy and the title of Scottish Champion, but will be using the opportunity to showcase their elite abilities ahead of the hugely-anticipated Commonwealth Games this summer.

The first weekend of Championship action will take place in the popular Scotstoun Sports Campus on 22 and 23 February, which will also play a large part in the Commonwealth Games.

The venue will play host to the preliminary stages of the Championships, which will continue the following weekend (2 March) at Tollcross International Swimming Centre – another key backdrop to the Commonwealth Games.

The preliminary stages will see the boxers fight others in their weight category, with the victors continuing their bid for a Championship spot at the Semi-Finals, taking place at Scotstoun again on 15 March.

It’s then on to the Finals at the prestigious Emirates arena, providing a fantastic backdrop for the exciting finale of the eight-week journey.

This will be the premier Championship event in Boxing Scotland’s biggest sporting year and will be a fitting step to the Commonwealth Games for our boxers.

To take part in the Scottish Championship Final is a great achievement for any boxer, but the opportunity to fight in such a prestigious arena as the Emirates is more than any boxer can dream of.

It is set to be an amazing night and the level of boxing promises to be world-class. Every Boxer competing on the night will have aspirations to be part of Team Scotland later this year and will produce the fight of their lives to ensure a place in Glasgow 2014.

Come and support them and be a part of Scottish Boxing history at the biggest ever Boxing Championship event held!
